Today I'm going to write in English... Because I'd like that someone special could understand my blog. So, excuse me if my English isn't very good...I've watched three interesting films, but I haven't talk about them in the blog... The last one is "Lo mejor de mi". I've been waiting for a long time this movie. I heard about it in september, because the mean actress won an award as a best actress in the Locarno's Festival.
If I think about the film, the first though that there is in my mind is: Marian Alvarez. Great eyes and a very intense performance. You can feel what is she thinking at every moment, and that's the quality that I like in an actor or actress.
She plays Raquel, a young woman who has decided living together with her boyfriend Tomás. But after a few days, Tomas feel bad and he has to stay in the hospital for a long time, waiting for a liver transplant. So... what are you amenable to do for love? Raquel thinks about being the donor... it's an important decision... and we'll see her feelings and thoughts.
This is a small movie, the first one of the young director Roser Aguilar. I like this kind of movies, that makes you think about live, about love and everything in the emotions world. The transplant isn't the question, it's the excuse for making a reflection about good and bad things in a relationship, about giving everything or not. Because... what happen later if the relationship ends...? What happen with your own? It's not easy... And I like Raquel's way...
The second one is "Into the wild", written and directed by Sean Penn. 150 minutes for a great movie. I think that it should had been nominated as one of the best movies in the Oscars (instead of Juno). It is the real history of a young man who decides living without money and travel to Alaska. When he finishes the university, he leaves his family, his girlfriend and his country and travels to Alaska. He really wants to be free and surviving in the wild live.
He's really brave because he decides that he doesn't need anything, only a quiet spirit, being alone with the nature. It's like a dream, ask yourself what do you really want and try to get it. Don't think about the others, think only about your feelings and wishes.
The soundtrack it's the perfect complement for the adventure.
Nice and entertaining... for daring to do wathever you want, it doesn't matter how it finishes....
